Our Religious segment features information on all religious events whether it is Diwali, Eid or Navratri. This segment promises to deliver information on all celebrations held during festive times keeping in mind the color and vibrancy associated with our religious festivals.

Sri Sudarshan Homam

Will be performed at Hamilton as a mark of  an auspicious start of the work process of Sri Balaji Temple at Hamilton

On the 23rd January 2010 (Saturday) starting at 10.00 am

At the Phoenix Hall, Hamilton

Sudarshana Homam is the best remedy  for avoidance and elimination of evil spirits in the house premises, workplaces and our personal daily life

The Homam will Be Performed by Chandru Kurukkal, Chief Priest of the Auckland Sri Ganesh Temple, Papakura

Only 101 families are provided with the opportunity to join and perform the Sudarshan Homam - Donation of $ 51.00 per family for the Homam.

Sudarshan Homam locket from Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams in India will be provided to every participating family in the Homam

12.00 noon: Prasadam (lunch) will be served after the Homam

Please contact any of the Temple Trustees or the Public Relations Officer for booking and please book early to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited

THE BATHING CEREMONY OF LORD JAGANNATHA, LORD BALADEVA AND SRIMATI SUBHADRA

Please come and enjoy this colourful occasion. Everyone will be able to bathe Their Lordships large and attractive forms. Please don’t miss this opportunity.

The programme starts at 12:30pm.

The programme is as follows:

12:30pm - Arati and Kirtan

1:00pm – Bathing ceremony (everyone can take part!)

2:30pm - Prasadam

4:00pm - Special darshan: Hati Vesha (elephant mask)

Ratha Yatra

Come join us to celebrate the 22nd annual Queen Street Chariot Festival. See the spectacle unfold as a gigantic colourfully decorated Chariot carrying Jagannatha is hand-pulled up Queen Street by thousands of enthusiastic people. Accompany the boisterous carnival procession by enjoying a rich cultural atmosphere created by strikingly colourful dance performances and the sounds of melodious exotic music.

The Namhatt Group is a specially designed course called the Bhakti Vriksha, based on the teachings from the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.

Prayer meeting every Saturday

At the Radha Krishna Mandir at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre, 145 New North Road, Eden Terrace.

Program commences at 8 p.m. (after aarti and prayers at the temple) and will end by 9:00 p.m.

The program will be conducted in Hindi / Gujarati.

The program format will be as follows:

Kirtan - 15 minutes
Discussions from Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures - 45 minutes
The program will be followed by a light prasadam.
